Yeah Spotify is not a host where files are hosted, it uses P2P streaming to play music.

But I believe they have a browser based webplayer that doesn't require any installation of apps.

Welcome, pgtips55. Unfortunately, it does seem that spotify demands an account, so that's not for me. I know I did hear a 6502 tune before though, peerhaps on soundcloud...

Thanks for this :) Will check those out.

No problems, you are probably right that you will need an account even with the web player.
