Semiconductors and Synthesizable Cores
- The Western Design Center -
The source for purchasing the latest in the 65xx family of Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, Microperipherals, Development Tools, Starter Kits and IP. WDC has been a pioneer in the licensing of microprocessor intellectual property (IP) cores for FPGA and ASIC development. We are the original source of the patented W65C02. This has evolved into a product line of hard and soft cores, development systems, consulting services and standard product ICs from stock.
- Evatronix - An IP core developer and supplier
that sells the C6502
products, synthesizable IP cores that are compatible with the 6502.
- Invector Embedded Technologies -
Produces embedded controller boards including the IET6502SBC, a small SBC with a 65C02, 65C22, four-port UART,
128K RAM, ethernet controller, and connections for a graphical LCD display.
- California Micro Devices -
CMD formerly produced the 65SCxx series of parts. They have discontinued all production of this line
but the datasheets can be found in the Obsolete Product Datasheets
section of their website.
- Sitronix Technology Co. -
A fabless LCD driver IC and SoC IC (microcontroller) provider based in Taiwan. Their
product line includes
microcontrollers based on the 65C02, such as the
ST20P64.
- Sunplus Technology -
A microcontroller IC design house which makes a number of specialized
6502-based chips for consumer products, some of which include speech and
LCD interfaces.
- Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Also produces a line of
6502-based consumer ICs. Their large website has complete information about their products and
datasheets in PDF format.
- Micronas GmbH -
Microcontrollers used in consumer applications like televisions, matrix displays, projectors,
VCRs, VTRs, satellite receivers, etc. as well as in automotive applications like dashboards,
body and chassis control units based on the 65C02/65C816 core with high grade of integrated
functionality.
- Sierra Circuit Design, Inc.
- Offers several synthesizable cores, including a 65C02 and a superset
called the 65CX8 with eleven additional instructions such as MPY
(multiply).
Development Tools
- The Western Design Center -
WDC offers Hardware Development Tools which includes a developer board for each of our microprocessors and microcontrollers. The developer board connects to the PC via the parallel port. WDC also offers Software Development Tools, which includes a C Compiler, Assembler, Linker, and Debugger, that supports all of WDC's microprocessors and microcontrollers.
- Avocet Systems,
Inc. - Makers of embedded systems development software. Their
6502 products includes Avocet's AVSYS
Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and AVA assembler, as well as the popular 2500AD assembler
(ADA), 'C' compiler (ADC), and simulator (ADS). Avocet also makes ADC-65, which includes the ADC-65 C
Compiler, Macro Assembler, Simulator, and IDE. It's a fully-integrated Windows package, allowing you to
develop and debug in the same environment. A demo is available of ADC-65 is available here.
- Crossware Products - Cross-development
software tools for DOS and Windows 95/NT. Their
product lineup includes two 65C02
cross-assemblers.
- DataRescue IDA Pro - A
powerful multi-processor interactive disassembler available for several different
operating systems.
- IAR Systems -
The IAR Embedded Workbench offers an Integrated Development Environment for the Western
Design Center 65C02/65C816 microprocessors which includes a 'C' compiler.
- I-Pal
Communications - Produces RICE65, an In-Circuit-Emulator (ICE) for the
65C02 which runs up to 8 MHz.
- Micetek -
A Taiwanese company called Micetek makes a product called "EasyPack
6502F", an In-Circuit-Emulator (ICE) for the WDC W65C02 which runs up to
14 MHz.
